About ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile
ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile is a mobile version of ARK: Survival Evolved – a title known from PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PCs. The AND and iOS port of the game was developed by War Drum Studios, a company known from, among others, a mobile version of Bully: Scholarship Edition.
Similarly to the original game, ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile is a survival sandbox game. The gameplay does not differ much from what we could encounter on PCs and consoles – the players enter a large island inhabited by dinosaurs (80 types, including flying pterodactyls) and have to survive for as long as possible.
At the beginning, the player does not wield advanced weaponry or knowledge on how to survive. However, as the time progresses, we receive access to new weapons, establish relationships with other users, etc. ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile contains almost every element seen in the original game. As a result, the dinosaurs can be hunted, trained, and used e.g. as a means of travel. Found resources are used to create new items, or even buildings. Initially, you’ll only be able to create simple housing, but a bit of persistence and help from other players will enable you to build whole cities.
ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile for AND and iOS is a multiplayer-oriented survival game. The world of the game is shared by a group of players and changes according to actions performed by the players. The authors have introduced a single player mode, but with certain limitations – the player is unable to establish and join tribes.
ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile for AND and iOS is an technologically advanced game. The power of present day’s mobile devices enabled the authors to introduce three-dimensional graphics that may fall short of the original title, but are still impressive, especially on smartphones.
In opposition to the original game, ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile is not a premium title. Instead, the game utilizes a free-to-play model with microtransactions.
