About Evil Genius 2
Evil Genius 2 is a second entry in real time strategy series established in 2004. While the first game was developed by Elixir Studios (creators of Republic: Revolution), its sequel is the work of Rebellion’s team. Both of them have been released for personal computers.
Evil Genius 2’s plot has been inspired by classic spy action movies, including first film about James Bond. This time players stand on the other side of the conflict, acting as villain who makes plans that will help him achieve his malevolent goals. The story is told with a lot of specific humor, known from the previous entry in the series.
PC’s version of Evil Genius 2 uses isometric view to present game’s world. To achieve our goals, we must make sure we have both financial and technological supply base. Constant stream of money is acquired by performing more or less complex missions that send us to different parts of the world and bring us publicity and infamy.
An important part of the gameplay is the development of your super secret base. Like in Dungeon Keeper series, we build more rooms with certain functions, while defending from attacks of law enforcers. To fend of heroes, we send our henchmen (whose skills we perfect during the game), construct fancy traps and equip soldiers with unusual weaponry like guns shooting shrinking beam.
Evil Genius 2 for PC is the first RTS that uses Asura, the author technology of Rebellion used in studio’s previous games.
